It runs inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded to LeadCanal or stored anywhere.

It accepts .pdf and checks each file's first bytes, so renamed programs or scripts are refused.
Free with no limits we impose
No signup, no watermark and no daily cap. Big files depend only on your device memory.
Several files at once
Where it makes sense, drop many files and download them together as a ZIP.
What the bank statement to Excel file contains
The Transactions sheet has one row per transaction with Date, Description and an amount column for each money column on your statement, such as Debit, Credit and Balance. When both debits and credits are found, an Amount (+/-) column is added for easy importing.
The All text sheet has every line of every page split into cells, so nothing is lost if your bank uses an unusual layout.
- Numbers stored as real numbers
- Filters on the header row
- Multi-line descriptions joined
- Dates kept exactly as printed
Which statements work best
| Statement type | Result |
|---|---|
| PDF downloaded from online banking | Best. Text is readable and columns are detected |
| Password-protected PDF | Works. Enter the password when asked |
| Scanned paper statement or phone photo | Not supported. There is no text to read; ask your bank for a digital copy |
| Credit card statement | Usually works the same way as bank statements |

Why this is safer than upload-based converters
A bank statement shows your account number, balance and who you pay. Most online converters upload it to their servers. This one reads the PDF inside your browser, so the statement and its password never leave your device and nothing is stored by LeadCanal.
Drop the PDF statement into the converter, enter the password if it has one, check the preview and click Download Excel. It is free with no signup.
With this tool, yes, because the file is never uploaded. Everything happens in your browser. Avoid sites that upload statements unless you trust how they store them.
Rows are found by the date at their start. Lines without a date use the date above them. Anything else is still on the All text sheet, so you can copy it across.
No. Scans are pictures with no text. Download a digital PDF or CSV from your online banking instead.
It reads the layout rather than a bank template, so most digital statements from US, UK, Indian, Pakistani and European banks work. Always check the totals.
